Issued 'lid -Sn -i mailing' (-i just in case), and figured there would be a lesson in here somewhere. I did find it a bit daunting to not have the context as grep offers, but remembered gid and lid's "style" outputs.

I'm new to id-utils, but I read the info pages and it processess plain text files in addition to source. I figure more is better in this case -- there may be relevant notes outside src/ and I ran mkid accordingly.

In 2006, Claudio Fontana modernized the build system and the code itself, and analyzed and integrated various pending patches. Package name had a minor change from id-utils' toidutils', to be more consistent with the other GNU package names.

Not a whole lot of activity, but I'm going to just dive into this. Thanks for keeping it available to users. Installed mercurial from Arch's extra/ repo, downloaded the PKGBUILD for idutils from the AUR and issued 'makepkg -i' to make and install. Reminds me that I should be using Slack or something source-based.
