Does anyone have a good resource to learn rock guitar? Right now I just try to play songs that I know by finding the guitar tabs. Are there any good books out there worth buying? I'm interested in just about any type of rock, so any suggestions are appreciated.

I've had some success with Total Rock Guitar. It's a pretty good book for beginners.
Also, the Guitar for Dummies is solid.
