Description

Class Starts Monday July 5th.

I would prefer to have 10 students or more if I am to make time to lead this course. Class time required should be about 3 hours a week with 1-5 hours of homework. Homework questions will be a mix from the book as well as web research. I think homework questions will be best answered in the forums. That way we can deal with one question at a time rather than trying to review an entire submission at once. Any comments feel free to post in the forums. I'll be checking it at least once a week until the class starts.

Prerequisites and Difficulty

This is not an introductory programming class. Familiarity with at least one computer programming language will be be required. There will be some programming in this course to validate algorithms we cover, but it shouldn't be too in depth. I prefer Java, but should be able to handle most languages.

I don't see any material online so I'll be working with shared slideshows that I upload to google and use some kind of video broadcasting material for class meetings.

Difficulty will be geared towards junior, senior or graduate CS student depending on how much work you want to put in.

Materials and Technical Requirements

Book requirement will be Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach (third edition), however second edition should be fine as well.

Along with the book slides will be posted, pdf format, and websites will be linked.

I'd like to be able to post references to papers as well, but I doubt everyone will have access to the journals and conference papers so I'll have to look into what I can do about that. Edit: I'll post relevant papers via listing with google scholar.
