Beginning German

I want to learn some new language. I think German is a good start.

Languages is one of my interest, and being european german is a useful language.

Always have wanted to learn a foreign language. What else can i say..

I've always thought that the written and spoken word are both two of Man's largest achievements. Perhaps now, I can communicate with my German brethren.

I can speak rudimentary French and Japanese and am looking to add another language to my repertoire.

This is actually a *huge* coincidence. I just began evaluating several methods of learning German through the web and finally settled on bbc.com/languages and was doing the first few lessons only this week, when I bumped into crunchcourse.com through hacker news. Great find! Now I'm certain that I'll complete the language course. :) (PS: I'll also update the resources section with some stuff I found online that will be of use to many German learners)
